AFA-CWA Flight Attendant Runs for Congress

AFA-CWA member Kaela Berg has officially announced her run for Congress! She has been an Endeavor AFA Flight Attendant for 22 years and is currently serving in the Minnesota House. As a state representative since 2021, Kaela has been a leading voice behind pro-union and working family legislation, including banning captive audience meetings and gaining unemployment benefits for striking workers. Both AFA-CWA and the CWA Minnesota State Council have endorsed Kaela, and if elected, she will be the first active Flight Attendant to serve in Congress.
“Kaela Berg is a true champion for working families,” said CWA President Claude Cummings Jr. “As an active Flight Attendant and union leader, she knows what working people can accomplish when they join together to improve their lives and their communities. As a legislator, she has helped make Minnesota a leader in worker empowerment. As a member of Congress, Kaela will bring working people together and deliver real solutions to the challenges we face.”
Kaela faces a tough primary and, if she wins, will enter a highly competitive general election. Fundraising will be critical. Click here to support Kaela in her historic run for Congress.
